Don McFarlandOur very own Don McFarland will be performing a recital at Emmaus United Methodist Church in Smithville, New Jersey to celebrate their new Johannus Opus 270 organ on Sunday, March 26 at 4 pm. With 36 stops and 4 different pipe organ samples for each stop, the Opus 270 represents an incredible value in a modest size classical organ.  Each stop of this organ was voiced specifically for Emmaus UMC’s space with the same attention to detail as would be expected in a fine pipe organ.  Johannus US is part of the Global Organ Group that is the largest builder of digital church organs in the world today.  Cunningham Piano Company represents Johannus, Rodgers Instruments US and Fratelli Ruffatti Pipe Organs.

Donald H. McFarland is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and among his music teachers have been Robert Arnold (organist at Trinity Episcopal Church – Wall Street, NYC/Accompanist for the Robert Shaw Chorale) and Jack Noble White, founder and Director of The Texas Boys choir).  Don has served as a church organist since age 14, starting in his hometown of Mobile, Alabama.  Presently, he serves as Director of Music/Organist for Richardson Park United Methodist Church in Wilmington, Delaware.

Don is also the Representative for Institutional Sales for Cunningham Piano Company of Philadelphia, where the products of the Johannus US and Rodgers Instruments US are represented for Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Delaware.
