A Tale of Two Pianos!

A Tale of Two Pianos!

Man in black dress playing Piano

Cunningham Piano Company is known for our piano restoration. Beautiful grand pianos are sent to us from all over the United Sates and beyond for custom restoration. We are very excited that our restoration staff has just completed the action work on two beautiful Steinway grand pianos – a Steinway model L, originally completed in 1925 and a Steinway model O, originally completed in 1909.

Both of these pianos are within a half inch of the same size (about 5’10”), but they are known for having a bit of a  different tone from each other. Join our own Hugh Sung as he explores these gorgeous instruments from the company’s “Golden Age”.

Hugh will play “Lilacs” by Rachmaninoff on each piano. Listen carefully. We want to know your thoughts:

Can you tell the difference between the two? Which piano do you prefer?
