When concert pianist and Lincoln University faculty member Charles Pettaway needed a temporary piano to practice on while his Bechstein grand piano was being worked on, he came to Cunningham Piano Company to look for a rental upright piano. At the suggestion of Cunningham co-owner Rich Galassini, Charles reluctantly tried the Yamaha NU1 Hybrid Upright Piano, which features the action of an acoustic upright piano combined with the digital sound of a Yamaha CFX concert grand.  Much to his surprise, he found the NU1’s action and sound so wonderful he ended up purchasing it for himself. Watch the video below to hear how Charles fell in love with his Yamaha NU1 as his daily practice piano as well as how remarkable this instrument sounds.
