Piano Rebel - Maya Keren on The Cunningham Piano Show

Maya Keren is an 18 year old pianist who started out hating the rigidity of classical music, then fell in love with the freedom she found in Jazz. Maya’s analytical mind led her to explore the inner workings of the piano through an internship at Cunningham Piano Company’s restoration factory. Thanks to being accepted at Princeton University, Maya wants to continue exploring the intersections of engineering and music and hopes to invent new musical instruments in the future.

Works Performed:
Body & Soul – music by Johnny Green
I Should Care – music by Axel Stordahl, Paul Weston, and Sammy Cahn
Featured Piano: Bösendorfer 200
Piano Technician: Sean Weissman

Shot on location at Cunningham Piano Co. in King of Prussia
