Eric Wortham II grew up in Philadelphia, blocks from Cunningham Piano Company’s Germantown location. He came in regularly to practice and the staff allowed him because they knew he had talent and lacked a good instrument at home. “In fact,” said Wortham, “if it were not for the kindness of the people at Cunningham Piano Company, I might not be a pianist at all.”

Eric has always given back to his city and, as Adele’s pianist, Seal’s music director, and much more, he is bringing all of his talent and experience to help save a music icon right here in Philadelphia. Chris’ Jazz Cafe has been a premier location for jazz for decades, but COVID has threatened their very existence.

On Thursday 12/17 at 7 pm, Wortham will be live streaming from Chris’ Jazz Cafe and all proceeds will go to support the venue in surviving through the next few months.

Cunningham Piano Company will happily provide a hand built Yamaha CF-4 grand piano, chosen personally for the event by Wortham.
