First Fridays at Cunningham Hall: A New Stage for Live Music in King of Prussia

Cunningham Piano has a new home, and that home has a stage.

Our new showroom at 450 S. Henderson Road, Suite A, in King of Prussia brings our showroom, factory, warehouse, and music school together under one roof for the first time. At the heart of it is Cunningham Hall, a 120 seat concert hall built to bring people together around live music.

This fall we launch First Fridays at Cunningham Hall, a monthly series for the 2026 / 2027 season. Come hear world class artists up close. You do not need to be a pianist, and you do not need to be shopping for a piano. Bring a friend. Bring a child to hear live music for the first time. This is what the hall was built for.

November 6: Eric Wortham II

Our opening night is a homecoming. Philadelphia native Eric Wortham II is a jazz and classically trained pianist, composer, and producer, and a Yamaha Artist. He has been Adele's pianist since 2016, completing her three year Las Vegas residency and her Munich residency, and has toured with Jill Scott, Jazmine Sullivan, and Seal. As a young musician, he practiced at Cunningham's historic Germantown location when he did not have ready access to a piano at home. Expect jazz, soul, classical artistry, and virtuosity. Tickets are $30: Opening night tickets

December 4: Jose Melendez and Ting Ting Wong

From Vienna to Buenos Aires: a four hands journey from Mozart to Piazzolla. Melendez is Assistant to the Music Director at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia, a sought after vocal coach, conductor, and collaborative pianist whose work has taken him across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Wong, born in Hong Kong, is a staff accompanist at AVA, adjunct faculty at Curtis, and collaborative pianist for the Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia, with master's degrees from Carnegie Mellon and Temple and a Kennedy Center debut in 2016.

January 8: Philly Pops Quartet

The Philly POPS Jazz Combo brings Philadelphia's iconic POPS tradition close up, with jazz favorites, Broadway standards, and timeless classics. The reborn Philly Pops, founded in 2023 by the former POPS musicians, carries forward a tradition that has been central to Philadelphia celebrations for generations.

February 5: Derek Hartman

Hartman won First Prize at the 17th International Beethoven Piano Competition in Vienna in 2025, becoming the first American born winner, performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 in the final in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein. He is Lecturer of Piano at Vanderbilt's Blair School of Music and a doctoral candidate at Yale.

March 5: Mada and Hugh

Romanian born Madalina-Claudia Danila and Korean American Hugh Sung are the award winning Mada and Hugh Piano Duo, official Petrof Artists known for four hand performances that blend classical masterworks with imaginative arrangements. Danila was invited by Anne-Sophie Mutter to perform at the Ruhr Klavierfestival. Sung is a former Curtis Institute faculty member, co-founder of AirTurn, and Vice President of Cunningham Piano.

April 2: Opera Philadelphia Preview

Opera Philadelphia previews Verdi's Aida, with highlights from the masterpiece alongside selections from other operatic works, just two weeks before the full production opens at the Academy of Music.

May 7: Sara Davis Buechner

Buechner closes the season. Beyond the competition prizes and 125 concertos noted above, she is Professor of Piano at Temple University here in Philadelphia, which makes this a hometown finale of sorts as well.
