Are you ready to embark on a musical journey with the guidance of a seasoned piano teacher? Look no further than Nora Frank, an accomplished pianist and dedicated instructor. With years of experience and a passion for teaching, Nora offers exceptional piano lessons for students of all ages and skill levels in her home studio in Lansdowne.
Nora's own musical journey began at a young age when she started taking piano lessons with her mother. As she grew older, she pursued formal training under the tutelage of Irma Harter at the Edith McIntosh School of Music. Ms. Harter, a student of renowned pianists Robert Casadesus, Isidor Philipp, and Theodor Leschetizky, instilled in Nora the importance of relaxed mechanics and producing a beautiful, bell-like tone—a tradition that Nora continues to uphold in her own piano studio.
Nora further honed her skills and knowledge by studying exclusively with David Bradshaw, a renowned concert and recording artist who himself was trained in the Leschetizky method. She also studied with Laurie Ticehurst-Poole at the Bryn Mawr Conservatory. Nora's dedication to her craft has led her to perform in prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall's Weill Concert Hall and participate in international piano festivals.
In her teaching practice, Nora believes in creating a personalized and enjoyable learning experience for each student. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced pianist, Nora tailors her instruction to your unique needs and abilities. She takes a fun and relaxed approach to teaching the fundamentals of music, ensuring that you develop a solid foundation while enjoying the process.
As part of Nora's comprehensive approach to piano education, she organizes student recitals, providing valuable performance opportunities for her students. These recitals not only allow students to showcase their progress but also foster confidence and stage presence—an essential aspect of becoming a well-rounded musician.
