I had an exemplary, pleasant and professional experience working with Rich who helped me acquire a Steinway Model C that his company was selling.Deeply satisfied with a rare instrument that was well maintained.Rich was extremely patient, answered all my questions, and went above and beyond to make sure I was completely satisfied before purchase.
Superb in every way! My Yamaha upright piano is beautiful and has a rich sound with excellent keyboard action. Hugh, who demonstrated and sold me the piano, was not only very knowledgable, but an amazing pianist and a caring and kind person. I would recommend Cunningham Piano Company to anyone interested in purchasing a piano.
We recently moved our grand piano from Naples Florida to Philadelphia. When the movers arrived and unwrapped the piano, it looked like it had been in a train wreck. We were broken-hearted. We called Cunningham Piano Company hoping they could give us some advice. That is how we met Hugh Sung. When we told him what happened he assured us everything was going to be okay. Then he sprung into action . Our piano was picked up a day later and taken to their factory for an evaluation and assessment of the damages. He then prepared a detailed report complete with pictures, which we could send along with our claim. He also provided a baby grand piano so we would not be without an instrument while ours was in the shop! Our treasured piano is now back and looks and plays like brand new! A heartfelt THANK YOU to Hugh and all of you at Cunningham Piano Company for making an almost unbearable situation bearable and stress free! YOU ARE THE BEST!!Dorr and Kimberly Warner
Not only is my new digital piano (Yamaha Clavinova CLP 745) wonderful with such a rich sound, working with Hugh Sung to get it ordered, financed and delivered to KY was so easy and so surprising as it arrived one week later when no one seemed to have them in stock yet.Hugh's cheerful friendliness and knowledge made the process easy. It was always such a delight to hear his joyous and lively voice. Thank you! You helped make my dream come true faster than ever expected.

I started working with Cunningham Piano in 1998. I was very interested in the piano upgrade program at the time. Since then, I have purchased 3 pianos through Cunningham. My most recent piano, a Mason & Hamlin, went into service this past week. It really needed some help technically. The Cunningham team was so attentive, informative, and assured me they would evaluate and address the technical needs of the instrument with the utmost care. I didn't doubt this. My piano is back in my possession and performs beautifully. I fully endorse Cunningham Piano if you are considering a new or used purchase, service and or tuning. They are true professionals with your interest at hand. Thank you! Paul Grund
Cunningham piano company is the biggest and most reputable piano company in great Philly region. You will have knowledgeable staff working with you with all the pianos (from premium to economic, acoustic to electronic/hybrid) in their showrooms. if anything goes wrong, Rich, the owner of the company, really cares about the customers and treats them as if they were family.
I bought a Yamaha C2X from Sean at Cunningham. It was a great experience for me. From contract to delivery, everything was organized professionally. Piano was delivered yesterday and was in great shape. Thank you Sean and Cunningham Piano!
Went in to buy a refurbished piano and after about 1/2 hour decided on a beautiful Cunningham Parlour Piano. It's being delivered on Wednesday and will write another review after I wipe the "drool" off it. Great sales team, extremely knowledgeable and even let me play the pianos (ha-ha)! Couldn't have been treated any better. I was so enchanted by the sound that I couldn't even think about trying to bargain the price down. Can't wait to get it!! I may even sign up for Hugh Song's online lessons if he thinks a 73 year old can hone his skills.
Hugh was incredibly helpful throughout the process of buying a piano. I highly recommend him and Cunningham. I got a great deal on a piano that looks wonderful in my living room and sounds great.
I was beyond satisfied with the level of professionalism and care that I was given at Cunningham in King of Prussia. I purchased a Casio AP-270, which I chose at the recommendation of Sean, who was incredibly knowledgeable about all of their instruments and was especially conscious about working within my price range and skill level. I never felt big leagued with these guys and I really, really appreciated it. -Sal Morrisville, PA
They apologized here but managed to take down my review, so here it goes again - PS: the technician found out the back was damaged during moving, so it is still getting resolved. I recently received my restored Steinway B from Cunningham Piano. The process took about a year and around $20,000. During which owner Rich Galassini would not return calls/texts/emails for about 10 times. Rich would disappear for weeks, then finally picked up the phone, apologized, and told me the schedule was delayed for another time. After the apologies, Rich would disappear again. So during the entire year, whenever I thought about the piano, I couldn't help but feel the piano has sunk into a black hole with the restoration fees. It was a truly scary experience. For example, just last month, when the piano was supposed to be delivered, I texted Rich twice asking politely where the piano was, only to no replies. Imagine you were told the piano would come during December, and the owner disappeared for a month, leaving you wondering what has happened? (all the neglects are well documented on my side) At last, after a whole year, finally we received the delivery of piano, but it required a technician to fix minor problems. As a week went by with no bookings and again no replies on how the booking went, I went to an online piano forum to write a negative review. Rich then promptly apologized and booked the technician. Today the technician found out the back of the piano was damaged during moving. He called Rich, but has gotten no reply yet. While Rich has apologized publicly saying his has had personal issues for the last 6 months, I noticed his personal issues only stopped him from replying to me or some other customers like he said. On the online forum, around the days he didn't reply to his customers, he was interacting with others (again, these are well-documented). Such was the service if you give a big job to Rich (not some happy 5-star factory tour from other reviews). If you are looking for endless delays, then apologies, then neglects, you are looking at the right place.
I purchased my Cunningham Piano three years ago for my son, Eddie. We couldn't be more pleased with the sound and quality. The service Cunningham Piano offers is second to none, too! Sean Weissman, a piano technician with Cunningham, came out to tune and adjust the piano and it plays like new! Cunningham Piano Company is the best in the business!

I had a fantastic time being exposed to the various options pertaining to digital pianos. After my first visit I was given time as requested by me to think about what instrument I might acquire. Once I decided on a model, we were able to come up with finance that was beneficial for both parties. I’m happy to say I am thrilled with the product as well as the entire process which includes the gentlemen that did the delivery as well as Sean, the sales representative who was very engaging and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this experience.
My wife and I recently were looking for a piano and had found Cunningham Piano through their YouTube channel. After visiting the showroom in King of Prussia, we were incredibly impressed with their knowledge and customer service. The associate who took care of us is named Hugh Sung. Hugh was friendly, teaching us about all aspects of pianos and the particular piano we decided to buy, answering all of our questions along the way. I couldn't recommend Cunningham piano more-- between the friendly staff, expertise, and a varied showroom with lots of different pianos, you can't find a better piano dealer.
I found a beautiful player piano and searched far and wide to get someone to get it back into playing condition. That was not an easy task, then I found Cunningham! Nestor took excellent care of us!! Not only does it sound beautiful but I was able to trace the age since Nestor found the serial number for us. My 103 year old piano is a joy thanks to everyone at Cunningham! Making the appointment was easy and they were so very accommodating of our schedules .
We bought our rebuilt Steinway piano from Cunningham 3 years ago, and it has brought me more pleasure than any other big purchase I can remember. It has a beautiful, mellow sound and a light action. Nestor has been our only technician. He is an excellent musician; he is detail-oriented, personable and polite. He does fantastic tuning and minor voicing and is a pleasure to have in our home.

Rich and his team are knowledgeable and completely reliable for unbiased advice. I enjoyed my entire buying experience getting my Bosendorfer AND my Yamaha NU1X from Cunningham Piano Company. Definitely 5 stars! Rich came highly recommended by a friend who is an acclaimed classical musician and recording artiste. I am very grateful for Rich and his team. I know I am getting the best, frank and honest advice. What more can you ask for?

Rich Galassini, Hugh Sung, and all the folks at Cunningham Piano are my keyboard FAMILY in Philly. They do expert work in all areas of tuning and servicing. I trust Cunningham to move and attend to all my home instruments, and I bought a wonderful Yamaha N2 from them that I practice on daily. Trust Cunningham! I do. Simply the best.
Cunningham Piano is a wonderful company and they make wonderfully musical instruments. We had the pleasure of having Nestor from Cunningham come to voice and tune our 2011 Cunningham Studio Grand. He made it sound like a completely new instrument and it's an absolute pleasure to play now! It sounds so warm and sweet. His voicing technique and ear is unparalleled. I would highly recommend Cunningham Piano Company for every musical need you may have.

If you are serious about buying a quality piano, getting honest advice and reasonable prices, and dealing with genuine people who care about your individual preferences, this is the place to go. I visited many piano stores, in different states, in my search for a new grand piano, and none could compare with the level of quality and helpfulness at Cunningham and its co-owner, Rich Galassini. I feel comfortable knowing that they have a national reputation and they will be there for me if I need anything in the future.
What a wonderful experience at Cunningham! After shopping around for a new piano— visiting many stores in a 30 mile radius and playing Yamaha, Kawai, Boston, and Essex uprights and baby grands— I purchased a Cunningham Studio Grand. It feels, sounds, and looks amazing. Sean, the Cunningham salesman, was informative, kind, and no-pressure. And when the time came to make my purchase, I felt that I got a truly excellent value for my dollar. Delivery was also quick and easy. The guys were courteous and professional. I look forward to many years of musical joy and to my new relationship with Cunningham!
Rich and crew are an amazing group of people purely interested in customer satisfaction! Highly recommend this long running historic Philadelphia establishment to anyone looking for a piano.
We went to help our son and family look for the perfect instrument and couldn’t have been more pleased. Rich was most helpful and knowledgeable in offering his expertise, which resulted in the purchase of digital Yamaha. Needless to say, everyone was thrilled. A fun and productive time was had by all. Cunningham Piano is a magical place with the finest staff. Thank you!

Just purchased a new Yamaha upright from Cunningham, and very pleased with all aspects of the experience! Communication with Rich was always prompt and informative, and delivery was handled professionally and according to plan. Thrilled with the new instrument and grateful for the excellent service Cunningham provided.
I don’t often write reviews but I was so impressed with the response I received I felt compelled to write this. I had inquired about the model of my piano that I’m selling and a reasonable listing price but I was honestly not expecting a response for several days, if ever. Tim has no money in my game but asked for photos and provided information to facilitate my next steps. All of this was accomplished with 5 emails and within a couple of hours. My only experience with them has been this interaction, but on this alone, I would say their customer service is superb.

Came in here to schedule an appointment to have my piano tuned and repaired (30 y/o upright Lowrey piano). I spoke with Rich and Cindy who were both incredibly helpful and hospitable and made me an appointment with a repairman within a weeks time. Afterwards they made me feel comfortable to test out their pianos at my leisure, offering helpful advice about their selection and other services. Definitely coming back in the future for all my piano needs!
I haven't used Cunningham yet but I needed my piano moved and got in touch with them thinking they were piano movers. They wrote me back and said their services lean more towards tuning pianos, BUT they were kind enough to recommend a piano mover who did a great job. Cunningham didn't have to do that and it was so nice that they did. When I need my piano tuned, I will certainly use Cunningham based on my experience with them.
The piano is so gorgeous pictures don't do it justice. I went into the store thinking I wanted a shiny black baby grand and walked out a mahogany-convert. It is nothing like the lackluster look that I had in mind, but a deep, rich, red color, with wood grain you can see. Every bit as shiny but with more character. You really gotta go there in person to check it out. I tried out the baby grand (5'0) as well as the studio (5'4) and the parlor(5'10) grand. I ended up choosing the parlor. Each piano has a different touch/sound and you can really feel the difference on your fingertip. The baby grand is a very nice piano for the look and the sound, but the parlor plays like a concert piano - so much that the keyboard feel makes me a little nervous playing because it reminds me of all those childhood recitals and competitions. I've compared Cunningham pianos with similar price range Yamaha piano, and for the same price range it's just not even close. If you're in the greater Philadelphia area, get the Cunningham. I didn't think I should shop for piano like I would shop for fruits, but buying local saves you a lot. You get to own a handmade, one-of-a-kind, absolutely beautiful piano for a very reasonable price. This is the best piece of furniture I have in my new home. I can't say enough good things about it.
I have learned so much from the videos. Watch through the back catalog on YouTube before you make a serious piano purchase (even if you think you know a lot). You will get a lot of insight from Rich and Hugh.
We worked directly with owner Rich Galassini. After listening in detail to what we wanted in a piano, he suggested we try several including their own Cunningham Baby Grand. I was impressed by the detail to design and care that went into this instrument. I was truly amazed at how rich and warm a small grand could sound. Even in the large space and high ceilings of the factory the piano filled the room. The construction is finely detailed using quality parts and top end German hammers. Even next to many famous names and much more expensive pianos the Cunningham Baby Grand was an easy choice. We are thrilled with our new piano and I congratulate Rich and his crew for creating such a fine playing experience. Amanda and Max
We are very happy with the digital grand piano we purchased from Cunningham. They took our 96-year old Steinway on a trade in which solved our problem of how to get rid of it. It served us well, but had major problems which would have cost us almost 3 times to repair what we paid for the digital piano. Technology has advanced to the point that the digital piano sound and action is extremely close to our Steinway. We are very happy with the friendly service at Cunningham and would recommend them to anyone shopping for a new piano.
The Yamaha P22 has a nice tone quality, is a great-looking piece of furniture and is ideal for my needs. The delivery went very smoothly and the movers were very professional. I look forward to enjoying my new piano for many years to come!
Rich has gone over and beyond the call of duty assisting me in choosing my first baby grand piano. I live in the very SW corner of Colorado, used to live in the KOP area. I have always appreciated visiting the Cunningham Piano Showroom and speaking with the staff. The reason why I reached out to Rich is because of his trusted, quality, unbiased advice. Rich has also come in competivly or better than stores in Denver, Albuquerque or Salt Lake and that includes the delivery fee to the middle of no where Colorado! I very much hope to give Rich my business. However, as he knows, my circumstances, opportunity, and economics might warrant a purchase in the more "immediate" area ( by out west standards). With that understood Rich is there to answer any questions that I may have so that I am happy with my purchase from whom ever. For you all fortunate enough to have Cunningham Piano in your local marketplace, you are lucky. I have lived throughout the US and I value the Customer Service that is unique to the Main Line area and in specific the great folks at Cunningham Piano. Thanks Rich!Dolores, Colorado
The go-to place for great pianos! Rich and Tim are true knowledgeable gentlemen, and good friends. Their piano selection is superb, and I must say, if they don't have the one you're looking for, they'll surely get it!
We've been on the lookout for the perfect piano for years and the crew at Cunningham were very helpful in finding the right one. They worked over the course of a few months to locate and determine the right fit fo us.
I bought a Cunningham grand piano here after visiting nine stores in three cities, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Rich will bend over backwards to give you a factory tour and provide you any information you want about piano construction and maintenance, completely for free (no pressure to buy). The staff are incredibly friendly and the quality is second to none. Also, they will give you as much time as you want to try out the pianos, including the Bösendorfers which are far beyond the average buyer's price range. My Cunningham piano sounds better than many 3x its price, and the tuner was extremely impressed with its sound, action, and workmanship. The higher-end pianos are priced comparably with other dealers, but Cunningham does a proper prep job on all of their pianos so the piano sounds its best, which often isn't the case elsewhere.
We just received our new Cunningham Piano Co. Baby Grand this weekend and we could not be more pleased! The piano is stunning and sounds wonderful, even better in our home! We worked with the owner, Rich Galassini throughout the selection process. Rich was a pleasure to work with...very informative, helpful and patient. The whole process was wonderful.
Cunningham Piano Company is a center for music and pianos! Our first encounter was walking in when we discovered the new showroom in K of P. We ended up spending the afternoon trying pianos and talking about music. Our relationship has continued with the Piano Show (see YouTube) and invites to great events, including Austrian Night and a Night of Russian Music - both events filled with wonderful music, guests from 2 renowned European Conservatories/Colleges, food and mingling. It has been an amazing resource for my musical son with these great opportunities to connect with the music world at large, as well as being able to have access to some of the world's best pianos. Rich and Hugh add that special touch with their love of pianos, knowledge, and music, and their joy in sharing that with others. Yes, they sell pianos, but we've never felt pressured with a sales pitch.
I bought my Yamaha yus5 here and it was a great experience from start to finish. No pressure here, stay as long as you like and play as many pianos as you wish. Rich and Tim are very knowledgeable and easy to work with, they answer all you questions and do not hover over you as you play. They give you as much time and space as you need. The delivery of my piano was excellent!! On time, up 2 flights of steps without any issues and into my living room. Perfect!!If you are looking for a piano this is the place!!
